The Accolades are the awards presented annually by Skills for Care in recognition of outstanding achievement within the field of social care workforce development. The awards can be won in a number of areas from “Most innovative learning resource”, to “Best employer promoting continuing professional development” which is the category sponsored by BVS Training.
Winning an Accolade shows that an organisation has been successful in improving the lives of people who use social care services through workforce development. Skills for Care want to see more and more organisations entering the awards, so if you are delivering a workforce development program that you believe is award winning why not get the recognition you deserve by entering for an Accolade in 2007.
As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the quality of training in social care we at BVS are pleased to be category sponsor for “Best employer promoting Continuing Professional Development” for the second year running. This award recognises the organisation that has done the most to help its workers continue to develop new skills throughout their careers in social care, by supporting them with regular structured training. Last years winners were The Old Vicarage in Dorset, recognising their commitment to improving professional standards within their care home. Their manager Clare Buckland said of the award; “We are extremely proud of winning the Skills for Care Accolade. The award means everything to us; it is great to be recognised for all the hard work at the Old Vicarage.”
